"Catching Fire"

I have finished reading a science fiction book called; “Catching fire”, by Suzanne Collins. It is the second book in the trilogy. I watched the movie that goes with this book, and they did leave out some parts that were in the book. I liked the book more than the movie because it has so much more detail, and you can understand what’s going on. Whereas, in the movie everything happens all so suddenly, and you miss parts that happen in the book. But I am a big fan of The Hunger Games Trilogy. Book or movie. “Catching Fire” is about Katniss Everdeen (the main character) getting thrown back into the arena. But this time, her competition is a lot more experienced. Because they are the remaining pool of victors who have survived in the games too. So Katniss goes out of her way trying to protect Peeta,(her fellow district companion), and sets her mind on getting him out alive as victor. Only, Katniss doesn’t know what’s behind it all, because a revolution has begun.
I absolutely loved this book. And I honestly think it’s the best one out of all three books. (I have read mockingjay). I would give this book a 4/5 stars. Here are my four reasons why I liked it:
1. Suzanne Collins brought the characters to life and gave each one a strong personality.
2. There where some new characters that where introduced in this book which kind of changed it up a bit in a good way.
3. She made the book interesting with a big vocabulary of words.
4. I liked how she stayed on topic of what was happening, but didn’t change the subject to suddenly.
And here is my one reason why I didn’t like it:
1. Because I felt like the author Suzanne Collins should have kept one of the characters alive (which died) a little longer until the third book.
I would really recommend this book to anyone who likes science fiction books, or who has watched a movie from this trilogy. But even if you don’t often like reading science fiction books, you could always try reading something different. I really enjoyed this book and maybe you would too. But I would start off with the first book to get the story of it better.
